Why Catholic?

Do you find yourself searching for meaning and purpose beyond today’s culture?  Do you have questions about your Catholic faith?  Would you like to connect more with God or renew your identity as a Cathfolic?   If so, then you will want to explore an exciting new program called Why Catholic?

Why Catholic? is a unique program designed to help adults explore Catholic teachings based on Scripture and the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  Why Catholic? offers a concrete approach to help adults deepen their Catholic faith and connect its teachings to their everyday lives. 

Why Catholic? was developed to respond to the growing demand for practical tools for adult catechesis and concrete pastoral approaches for evangelization. This need was identified in 2004 and described in the U.S Bishops’ pastoral letter on faith formation titled “Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us.”

Why Catholic? offers individuals ways to share their faith confidently with people around them, including family members.  With scriptural references and reflection questions that link to daily life, this program fosters learning in a prayerful, small group setting.  Faith-sharing sessions include discussion on essential beliefs, sacraments, Christian morality and prayers.
